Neo Metal-Analyst & NDT Services (NMANS) started operations in India in 1985 under the approval of most statutory bodies including ABS, DNV, BV, SGS, Engineers India Ltd (EIL) etc, and worked for or on behalf of ONGC, Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), Mazagon Dock Ltd, Indian Navy, Tata Power Ltd, many offshore fabrication contractors and local merchants and dealers in steel, non-ferrous materials and engineering products. We have been also on the list of contractors approved for third party inspections involving NDT, material analysis (includes destructive testing to determine physical properties of these materials as well as chemical composition and micro structural analysis) and failure analysis. The mainstay of this company, however, has been Ultrasonic Testing till now and the other service activities have been added to it as and when a need for the same was felt by our clients from time to time. Experts from various engineering and industrial fields joined hands with us for such specialized jobs, which we executed together under the banner of NMANS.

Mr Shashank Vagal who founded NMANS has been working in the field of NDT since 1977 and in Nigeria since 1991 and is quite familiar with Indian and Nigerian Oil & Gas Field related scenario and the fabrication industry in general. After working as QA/QC Manager and Business Development Director in the past, he has now joined hands with well established business partners to further activities in NDT Training and Services, QA/QC Management, Destructive Testing, Training of Welders and Welding Inspectors, Training in other specialized skills such as API Authorized Tank Inspector, Training of Auditors for ISO 9000 Quality Management System etc. Along with the training, we shall also be taking up jobs in the above fields using the most state of the art equipment – automated welding and UT, On-line Radiography are some of the areas already being earmarked. In addition, we have plans to represent an Authorized Inspection Agency for ASME certification to design and manufacture pressure vessels, power piping and boilers etc. We also aim at carrying out in-situ PWHT, Destructive Testing, Chemical Composition Analysis and Micro-structural Analysis.

We have already finalized tie-ups with competent, certified and authorized groups for:

• In-Service Inspection of Static Equipments and Piping
  
• Fitness For Service (FFS) as per API 579
  
• Risk Based Inspection (RBI) as per API 580

Up on satisfactory audit findings, the inspected items can be certified for continued operations by the user for additional time period.
